Wine One One

I am a little concerned that my good friend BHE and all the other winos wine lovers I have come in contact with lately are rubbing off on me.

I have never been much of a wine drinker. I prefer a cold beer or a Lemon Grey Goose and Sprite (tastes just like lemonaid). If I do drink wine, it’s usually a sweeter white wine, and it must be cold. No warm (or room temp) red wine for me. However, recently I have acquired a new found taste addiction for wine. I have managed to finish an entire bottle of Reisling by myself since The Salesman has been out of town and I rarely drink during the week.

Worse yet.... I went to Sam's Club yesterday for Vitamin Water and never made it past the wine section.

I think I may be in trouble….. Better call Wine One One!

Oh and as a side note.... Check out the article in the Glouster-Mathews Gazette-Journal!

LOL...you and I sound like we have similar wine tastes!!!

My loves right now are by Duplin Wine Cellars

www.duplinwinery.com.

A Hatteras Red, sweet muscadine and their white scuppernong...both are sweet and light and make me happy!!! I drink them cold as well. $7-$8 range...one bottle a week or more if it is a bad week.

Check it out and let me know what you think!!!

Well, that's how it was for me 15 years ago when I was first introduced to some good wine. It hasn't been the same since.

OH. I want you to try a particular kind of red wine so bad that I am going to google to see how to spell it.
Beaujolais. And I like it slightly chilled best of all.
The brands that are easiest to find for me are Beaujolais Nouveau and Beaujolais Villages Louis Jadot. Something like that, anyway...(crazy French spelling)...

I know... I've never cared for red wines although I do like most whites, sweet or dry. But I dread the skull crushing headaches that start around midnight so I'll stick with my hard cider! It treats me right!
